چکیده

Motivated by the Kyle-Back model of \insider trading", we consider certain classes of linear transformations of two independent Brownian motions and study their canonical decomposition, i.e., their Doob-Meyer decomposition as semimartingales in their own ltration. In particular we characterize those transformations which generate again a Brownian motion. 1 Support of the EU through the TMR contract ERB-FMRX-CT96-0075 \Stochastic Analysis" and Support of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (SFB 373 \Quantiikation und Simulation okonomischer Prozesse" and Berliner Graduiertenkolleg \Stochastische Prozesse und probabilistis-che Analysis") are gratefully acknowledged.

Construction of Brownian Motions in Enlarged Filtrations and Their Role in Mathematical Models of Insider Trading

In this thesis, we study Gaussian processes generated by certain linear transformations of two Gaussian martingales. This class of transformations is motivated by nancial equilibrium models with heterogeneous information. In Chapter 2 we derive the canonical decomposition of such processes, which are constructed in an enlarged ltration, as semimartingales in their own ltration. The resulting dr...

Dynamic Markov bridges motivated by models of insider trading

Given a Markovian Brownian martingale Z, we build a process X which is a martingale in its own filtration and satisfies X1 = Z1. We call X a dynamic bridge, because its terminal value Z1 is not known in advance. We compute explicitly its semimartingale decomposition under both its own filtration FX and the filtration FX,Z jointly generated by X and Z. Our construction is heavily based on parabo...

A Statistical Study of two Diffusion Processes on Torus and Their Applications

Diffusion Processes such as Brownian motions and Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes are the classes of stochastic processes that have been investigated by researchers in various disciplines including biological sciences. It is usually assumed that the outcomes of these processes are laid on the Euclidean spaces. However, some data in physical, chemical and biological phenomena indicate that they cann...

Explicit construction of a dynamic Bessel bridge of dimension 3

Given a deterministically time-changed Brownian motion Z starting from 1, whose timechange V (t) satisfies V (t) > t for all t ≥ 0, we perform an explicit construction of a process X which is Brownian motion in its own filtration and that hits zero for the first time at V (τ), where τ := inf{t > 0 : Zt = 0}. We also provide the semimartingale decomposition of X under the filtration jointly gene...

Insider Trading Equilibrium in a Market with Memory

We consider the Kyle-Back model for insider trading, with the difference that the classical Brownian motion noise of the noise traders is replaced by the noise of a fractional Brownian motion BH with Hurst parameter H > 12 (when H = 1 2 , B H coincides with the classical Brownian motion). Heuristically, for H > 12 this means that the noise traders has some “memory”, in the sense that any increm...
